Position Summary:
This position is within Harman Automotive Division, located in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. In this position you will be part of a global team, you will contribute to the design and development of park assist and surround view feature related products for ADAS BU. The ideal candidate will have good analytical skills, knowledge of engineering discipline, and experience in vision related ADAS functions.

About this Role:
We are looking for creative minds who are passionate to shape the future of autonomous driving and to bring world class Surround View System Software solutions into our camera products: forward looking cameras, surround view cameras, high resolution 3D flash lidar, and sensor fusion systems.

What You Will Do:
Our team is responsible for developing a modular rapid prototyping framework in which we can gain early feedback for machine learning models and related post processing algorithms. These algorithms are typically run-on high-performance GPUs, the task involves optimizing the algorithms themselves, while keeping a continuous effort to develop the framework itself.
Your tasks are therefore:
• Development of SW components with high complexity using C++11/14
• Hands on Carmaker simulator, CAN Communication, Gtest
• Knowledge of MOCKING other components to test linked features/components.
• Debug existing C++ code, find root causes and resolve software issues
• Test your SW code on the target HW or in the target vehicle
• Create low-level software design
• Documentation of your work products
• Understanding and implementing customer requirements
• Direct contact with the largest car manufacturers
• Agile working method
• Collaboration with international development teams.
• Work of state-of-the-art neural network models for ADAS projects.
• Work with big car data from a multitude of sensors, cameras, and Lidar.
What You Need:
• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science, Electronics & Communication or Electrical Electronics Engineering or related field combined with software engineering and data science experience.
• 5+ yrs. working in SW Engineering roles
• 2+ yrs. relevant experience working in the field of Surround View System Software solutions.
• Experience in any of the ADAS Software Feature Development areas like Surround View, Driver Monitoring, InCabin Monitoring, L1/L2 Features, is added advantage
• Hands-on experience in C++ 11/14, cmake, Gtest, Carmaker, OpenCV.
• Familiarity with parallel computing, such as GPU/CUDA programming
• Experience with agile development methods.
• Strong analytical skills together with high self-learning capabilities
• Agile and ASPICE Working Environment.
• Experience with requirement management tools like ALM, Doors, Polarion.
• Ability to make team level decisions with little guidance.
• Good command over spoken English.
• Collaborative, open-minded, team player attitude.
What is Nice to Have
• Experience in ADAS feature development and verification
• Hands-on experience with CNNs, 3D CNNs, multi-task mobilnets
• Understanding of statistics with the usage of the programming language R
• Flexibility and creativity in solution design – including leveraging emerging technologies
• Knowledge and experience with ASPICE and automotive use cases and requirements
• knowledge of modern Software Engineering
• Android development experience
