Software Engineer - UI Developer - Angular

Morgan Stanley is seeking an experienced Angular developer to join the Sustainability Office Technology team. The individual will work as part of the global development team and will help the team design, and develop a modern technology stack to power our digital platforms aimed at unlocking efficiencies for our Investment Teams. As a front-office developer, the individual will also work closely with the Fixed Income team to solve operational problems and design strategic portfolio optimization solutions for our investment teams. The individual will contribute to key ESG Income Initiatives that impact both Investments and provide solutions to regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:
• Designing and developing modern and modular web applications using modern coding and testing standards.
• Working within a team of UI developers and product owners, contribute to requirements refinement and design.
• Participating in our agile ceremonies and actively driving towards the team's goals.
• Working collaboratively with a global team of technologists.
• Contributing with ideas and innovation.
• Partnering with our end users (ESG team) to design solutions.
• Building high-quality, maintainable, robust, and sustainable products

Requirements:
• Candidates with 3-5 years of experience developing enterprise Angular Web applications.
• Solid experience with design patterns, data structures, anti-patterns, and web-based components.
• Solid experience writing unit, component, and integration tests.
• Solid experience with clean code, code quality, and SDLC,
• Strong experience working with Angular, JS, typescript, ngrx, flux frameworks like redux, Bootstrap, node-sass, HTML, CSS (Good to have MEAN and/or MERN stack experience), git.
• Experience working with microservices (RESTful), distributed systems, and relational databases.
• Debugging skills and knowledge of dev tools are a must.
• Good to have experience with Jenkins, accessibility, understanding Figma designs, etc.
• Experience working directly with end users.
• Solid understanding of financial markets and various financial instruments.
• Experience with Equities and ESG KPI data a plus.
• Strong computer science fundamentals.
• Good communication skills
