You should be comfortable with ambiguity and have a creative flair for achieving the impossible.Key job responsibilitiesWork on key infrastructure to support and responsible for scaling Alexa internationally.Work through all phases of the project lifecycle, including reviewing requirements, designing critical infrastructure and tools , building new interfaces, integrate with existing architectures, developing and testing code, and delivering seamless implementations for scaling Alexa features internationally.Ownership of projects that operate cross-functionally with multiple Alexa engineering, design and product teams.Work in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver high quality software against defined schedules and milestones.About the teamAlexa International team's mission is to build infrastructure and services to help scaling of Alexa internationally. We are chartered to deliver platforms and tools to drive efficiency, stability and scalability initiatives for Alexa International features and helping teams deliver features ensuring high bar on linguistic, contextual and cultural experience for international Alexa customers.BASIC QUALIFICATIONSOverall 5 years of testing experience2 years of non-internship professional software development experienceProgramming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C , or C# including object-oriented design1 years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems.Bachelors degreeExperience in a test or development role as part of a product development organization which has delivered consumer oriented productsDemonstrated experience in testing methodologies, experience with standard QA and development tools, and the ability to operate within short release cyclesSoftware QA automation experience working with the following technologies: PHP, CSS, HTML, Java, Java Script, Python, PERL, etc.Demonstrated experience creating status reports based on automation resultsComfortable working in a fast paced, highly collaborative, dynamic work environment, in close contact with development and business teams to understand business requirements and to communicate problem impacts, cross-functionally and across management levels in formal and informal settings.Experienced in interacting and coordinating test activities amongst multiple teams.Excellent communication skills
