Software Developer (Python Developer

Job Description

We are currently looking for a Python developer with a strong data science background. The candidate would collaborate with our Product Management team across Geographical area and with the technology and QA teams at offshore to implement our current & upcoming product features and innovative logistics and optimization solutions.

Role / Responsibility

 Translate complex analytical and technical concepts into code, and help derive workable solutions for optimization in the logistics domain.

 Integrate and extracts relevant information from large amounts of both structured and unstructured data (internal and external) to enable analytical solutions.

 Support Subject Matter Experts (SME's) on efforts to develop scalable, efficient, automated solutions for large scale data analyses, model development, model validation and model implementation.

 Display positive attitude in the face of aggressive timelines and having sense of pride in meeting delivery timelines with utmost quality

Requirements

 Master's degree or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or related field

 2 to 4 or more years of related experience and accountability for complex tasks and/or projects

 Working experience in Combinatorial Optimization (CO) using heuristic algorithms.

 High Level of Proficiency in Python, numpy, pandas, matplotlib and related Python numerical eco-system.

 Expertise in pivoting, sorting and presenting data in graphs, charts, tables, etc.

Experience with an edge:

 Experience in Supply Chain industry

 Experience in the working with Machine Learning and AI methods and techniques.

 Prior experience building optimization products in the Supply Chain Logistics domains

 Experience with a start-up is preferred
