Job Description

As a Sr Oracle DBA you will be joining a world-class team of BMC Software and focusing on; day-to-day production operational tasks, database administration, architecture, and automation of database services & solutions.

What We Are Looking For
• 7+ years of experience in PostgreSQL support work
• Strong backup and restore and strong database performance tuning in Oracle 19c
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Solid experience with Postgres PLSQL
• Expertise in Replication and failover experience

Experience with Exadata/ExaCS and ATP multitenant and Oracle Cloud OEM is also a must-have.

Main responsibility is to configure, deploy, troubleshoot & resolve highly complex technical issues on Oracle Cloud and Exadata Cloud platforms, spanning across database footprint including Exadata architecture, Real Application Clusters, High Availability, Data Guard, Corruption, Backup and Recovery, RMAN, ZDLRA, Performance, Memory Management, Parallel query, Query tuning, Storage, ASM, GoldenGate, Replication, Security, Networking, Enterprise Manager etc.

Requirements
• Experience configuring & implementing Oracle 12c and 19c
• 5+ or more years of direct experience with Oracle Exadata OS and environment
• Work in oracle multitenant
• OEM Cloud experience
• Oracle Active Data Guard

Technical Skills

We are looking for a core technical person, who has hands-on Database administration experience on UNIX/Linux and/or worked as L3/L4 level support engineer and/or having equivalent knowledge. You should have expertise in Exadata, Real Application Cluster (RAC), Dataguard & ASM/Storage areas. Operating systems expertise / SA &general awareness.

Nice To Have
• In addition, Solid experience in Postgres DBA will be a significant differentiator, including:
• 2-3+ years of experience in PostgreSQL support work
• Strong backup and restore (pg_dump, physical backup tools) experience
• Strong database performance tuning
• Strong SQL Query tuning and development experience
