Senior Design Engineer

About the job:
• Hands on experience in mechanical design & detail engineering of Pressure vessels, process equipment’s, columns, heat exchangers, reactors etc. as per ASME Section VIII Div I,EN13445,AD Merkblatter, TEMA, API, PD-5500,ASME Section I, IBR etc.
• Wind and Seismic Analysis as per code like IS 875, ASCE ,UBC, EN 2010,NBC 2010 etc.
• Nozzle Loading Analysis as per WRC 107 and WRC297
• Checking and issuing GA and manufacturing deliverables such as general notes, nozzles details, internal and external attachment details, shell development details, platform and ladder details, vessel BOM, machining drawings, etc. as per prescribed vessel, piping, and structural standards.
• Design columns, storage tanks and pressure vessels, and heat exchangers and obtaining approval from third party / client as per design codes such as ASME Sec VIII Div 1 /EN 13445, PD5500, etc. in PV Elite software as well as manual calculations.
• Assistance in preparing estimation sheets, transportation drawings, comparison of addition / deletion in items as per material requisition and final approved drawings.
• Maintain status of vessel engineering deliverables, take follow-up of client for drawing approvals.
• Review vendor documentation and drawing checking.
• Review and checking of manufacturing drawing and design calculations.
• Coordinate with the project team to planning / schedule of preparation of calculation and drawing.
• Preparation of technical specification, data sheet for mechanical equipment including pressure vessel, heat exchanger and other process equipment.
• Hands on experience of using software’s like AutoCAD, PV Elite, CADM, MATHCAD.
• Have exposure to ASTM materials & its selection.
• Good Knowledge of PV Elite.
• Good Knowledge of Welding and welding symbol.
• Capable of doing Manual Calculations.
• Co-ordination and follow-up with manufacturing, QAC, process, Electricals & Instrumentation departments for the timely delivery of the deliverables.
• Making Material Specification as per code requirements for procurement & Material take off (MTO) for shop & site fabricated Equipments, Operational Spare parts etc.
• Enquiry stage directly technical discussion with End customer and Support for Marketing Team for pre bid stage .
• ISO Documentation.

What you know:
• Bachelor’s degree, major in mechanical or similar
• Background & insight in the food product, knowledge of Alfa Laval product is a plus.
• Background of equipment designer, experience of module manufacturing is a plus.
• Process equipment design /manufacturing knowledge is a plus.
• QC/ Welding knowledge
• 5+ years’ working experience, experience in process equipment is a plus.
• Problem-solving and target-oriented.
• Good communication
• AutoCAD/Inventor
