Nodejs Tech Lead

Gajigesa is seeking an experienced and talented Node.js Tech Lead to join our team.

As a
Node.js Tech Lead, you will play a critical role in leading our backend team, spearheading
technical initiatives, and ensuring the successful execution of backend projects. You will be
responsible for guiding and mentoring a team of developers, while actively participating in
the architectural decisions and system design process. This is an excellent opportunity for an

Responsibilities:
1. Provide technical leadership and guidance to the backend development team.
2. Lead backend technical initiatives and ensure their successful execution.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system architecture and design
scalable solutions.
4. Mentor and develop team members, fostering their growth and technical expertise.
5. Conduct code reviews to maintain code quality and adherence to best practices.
6. Ensure the team follows agile development methodologies and meets project
deadlines.
7. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into
technical solutions.
8. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, identifying
opportunities for innovation and improvement.
9. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.

Qualifications and Skills:
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
2. Minimum 8 years of professional experience in backend development.
3. Strong expertise in Node.js and TypeScript.
4. Experience with Kafka, PgSQL, TypeORM, and GraphQL.
5. Proficiency in NestJS framework.
6. Hands-on experience with AWS services.
7. Solid understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and best
practices.
8. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
9. Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
10. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
