Networking Software Developer

Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations

A Senior Software Engineer/Technical lead will be part of a world-class, highly motivated, highly skilled team of Networking software engineers who are committed to deliver carrier grade wireless equipment to customers in various verticals starting from WISP to Federal Governments. He/She should be a firm believer of Cambiums mission, Connecting the Un-Connected and Under-Connected.

The candidate should have 8-12 years of experience in network software development in embedded system. He/She should have the ability to

•Self-driven individual who can independently architect, design, develop and deliver software features.

•Handle diagnosis and resolution of customer problems and field issues.

•Coach and mentor team-mates and groom them to reach their goals.

•Support pre and post sales activities.

•Participate in requirement gathering, design review and code reviews and handling POC demos with the goal of continuous improvement in product quality.

•Keep a tab on the developments in the technology and industry Cambium is in.

Specific Knowledge/Skills

• Proficiency in C, C++

• Highly proficient in IP protocols and networking (eg, L2, L3, IPv4 and v6, TCP/UDP, ICMP, DHCP, NAT, DNS, PPPoE)

• Strong analytical, problem solving and creative abilities is required.

• Experience with embedded CPUs, DSPs, NVRAM, Ethernet

• Experience with web and network management technologies, a plus

• Experience with RADIUS authentication, secure protocols, a plus

• FPGA design experience, a plus

• Experience with git, Atlassian tools

• Excellent communication skills

• Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.

• LAN/WAN telecommunications knowledge and experience is a plus
