Job Description:
1. Server Management:
• Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server operating systems.
• Monitor server performance, ensuring uptime and reliability.
• Apply software updates and patches as needed.
2. Server Management:
• Administer and maintain Active Directory services, including user and group management.
• Implement security policies and access controls.
• Troubleshoot and resolve Active Directory-related issues.
3. Email and Collaboration Systems:
• Manage Microsoft Exchange Server or other email systems.
• Configure and troubleshoot email accounts and distribution groups.
• Ensure proper functioning of collaboration tools such as Microsoft SharePoint.
3. Network Administration:
• Configure and maintain network services, including DNS and DHCP.
• Implement and manage group policies and security settings.
5.Backup and Recovery:
• Set up and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• Develop and test data recovery procedures.
6. Security and Compliance:
• Monitor and enhance server and network security measures.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR).
7. User Support:
• Provide technical support to end-users for server and Active Directory-related issues.
• Train and educate employees on system usage and best practices.
8. Documentation:
• Create and maintain system documentation, including configurations, procedures, and policies.
9. Vendor Management:
• Collaborate with vendors and third-party service providers for hardware and software procurement and support.
10. Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution:
• Investigate and resolve server and network-related problems in a timely manner.
• Escalate and coordinate with other IT teams when necessary.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Relevant certifications, such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer.
• Proven experience in system administration, particularly in managing Microsoft-based server systems.
• Proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange, and related Microsoft technologies.
• Knowledge of network protocols and services, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Understanding of server hardware and virtualization technologies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
