Java Developer

With a startup spirit and curious minds, Default is looking for professed Java developers who have extensive experience building web backends. The ideal candidate will show interest in mastering and exercising responsibility towards both Project and Team. We are looking for true team players who can work beyond their specialty to help the team deliver.

Some typical things that you’d be doing are:

Write scalable code and be able to think about the best approach for the particular use case.

Develop back-end components to improve responsiveness and overall performance.

Improve functionality of existing systems.

Devising best practices and modern tools to increase productivity and work quality.

Work with stakeholders and fellow developers.

Code reviews and mentoring other members of the team whenever required.

Requirements:

Experience: 2-5 years

Must haves:

2+ years of experience in developing backend systems using Core Java/ J2EE

Hands-on experience in frameworks such, Spring boot, Hibernate, etc.

Strong understanding of Design Patterns and multi-threading paradigms

Strong knowledge on OOPS concepts(Inheritance, Abstraction, Encapsulation)

Ability to design and implement database systems using PostgreSQL, Redis, etc.

Experience of building RESTful APIs in Spring boot

Experience of working in a cloud (AWS/Azure) environment.

Demonstrated communication skills with stakeholders and fellow developers.

Good to have:

Strong foundations in the JEE and Spring ecosystem with exposure to devops and microservices.

Make both tactical / strategic changes to the established code base.

Strong aptitude for highly efficient data structures and algorithms.

A desire to take responsibility and ownership of components/processes within the team

Ability to analyze data logically and exercise sound judgment in defining, evaluating, and solving difficult technical and operational problems where solutions may be of a precedent-establishing nature.
