Electronics Internship (Immediate Joining) - Power...

This position is for an electronics intern/engineer to join the team at Mechanical Chef. We are a startup in Bangalore developing cooking robots for homes. You will be working on the world's first practical cooking robot for homes (see www.mechanicalchef.com) and your work may find its way into new inventions and your name into patents.

We are looking for engineers with a keen interest in circuit design, embedded systems, power electronics and cooking.

If you are accepted, you will get to work on developing embedded control boards and also power management and power electronics. You may get to see your name on a patent or two or at the very least, get a great recommendation for grad school if you decide to study further one day.

Apply if you:

a) Know quite a bit about power circuitry, motors and actuators

b) Have built electronic circuits and designed PCBs of your own

c) Love learning about how electronics products are manufactured

d) Can code for microcontrollers in C and Python

e) Can cook or know more than a little about food (some culinary skills will earn you points)

f) and are a good learner - you will have to learn many things that fall outside your area of expertise.

When you apply, please talk about any and all projects where you did any of the above and highlight your contributions if it was done in a group. We're interested in any circuit you've designed - be it at home, or something you've done for fun.

The position is very hands-on. You will get to build your own prototypes and see them working. So you have to be good at (or willing to learn to be good at) soldering and know how to (or be willing to learn to) handle a range of micro-controllers.
