DevOps Engineer - AWS

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced DevOps Specialist with a strong background in Amazon Web Services (AWS) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our AWS infrastructure and ensuring seamless deployment and scalability of our applications.

Key Responsibilities:

AWS Infrastructure Management:
• Design, set up, and maintain AWS cloud environments.
• Implement and manage continuous delivery systems and methodologies on AWS.
• Define and deploy monitoring, metrics, and logging systems on AWS.

Development & Deployment:
• Automate and streamline our operations and processes for deploying updates and fixes.
• Build and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring, and operations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in our dev, test, and production environments.

Collaboration & Strategy:
• Work closely with development teams to integrate their projects into the production AWS environment.
• Provide recommendations for AWS best practices and architecture.
• Contribute to the overall strategy and roadmap of the IT department.

Security & Compliance:
• Ensure the security of the AWS environment through effective configuration, access control, and firewalls.
• Comply with all relevant industry security standards and regulations.

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong experience of 4+ years with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, Lambda, IAM, CloudFormation, etc.
• Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Ruby, or Bash.
• Experience with automation/configuration management using tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service.

Preferred Qualifications:
• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional certification.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with Agile methodology and DevOps principles.
• Experience with database management and administration.
