Content Writer Job Description

Hi Folks,

Role Responsibilities:

· Research ideas and facts pertinent to the type of content/topic assigned

· Develop ideas derived from online/offline research and organize the same on paper or computer applications

· Write fresh content based on research and brainstorming by following the instructions provided for each type of document

· Develop engaging content for articles, blogs, stories and social media to entice and engage audience

· Proofread content for errors or additions and ensure that the content is written per instructions

· Ensure that web page content is edited properly to increase on-screen readability

· Think up titles for each piece of content keeping appropriateness in check

· Ensure that content contains sufficient keywords for search engine optimization

· Manage user-generated content on social media sites

· Manage the company's social media presence

· Rewrite, paraphrase or write content from scratch depending on specific instructions provided in the work order

Role Requirements:

· Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

· Excellent grasp of the English language

· Creative and innovative thinker and planner

· Confident in producing work across multiple platforms

· Able to align multiple brand strategies and ideas

· Assists team members when needed to accomplish team goals

· Able to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently

· Self-motivated and self-directed

· High school degree or equivalent; Bachelors degree in creative writing, journalism, English, or a related field preferred

· 1.5 to 3 years experience in content writing

· Ability to work independently or as an active member of a team

· Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel) and Google Docs

· Strict adherence to company policies and style

· Extensive knowledge of the company, brand, and product preferred

· The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude and be a problem-solver
