Primary Skills: DBA's role, Cassandra, Data Center, Cassandra Cluster, 24*7 Support
Secondary Skills: Spark, NoSQL DB
Desired Skills & Responsibilities
3+ years of Cassandra DBA experience in managing critical 24/7 applications.
• Hands-on experience with Cassandra database hosted on-premise.
• Setup Nodes, Work on Foundations, Data Models, etc.
• Implement a Cassandra Database in an enterprise, Design and Support data migration.
• Cassandra database Administration on a Multi datacenter environment.
• Should have hands-on experience in setting up Cassandra cluster.
• Must have experience in Monitoring, Performance Tuning and Managing Cassandra cluster.
• Strong understanding of complex inner workings of Cassandra, such as the Gossip Protocol, Hinted Handoffs, Read Repairs, Merkle Trees.
• A deep understanding of Cassandra design principals, cluster connectivity, security and the factors that affect distributed system performance.
• Data processing\ETL experience of structured\unstructured data into Cassandra cluster through Cassandra export\import utility or Spark jobs.
• Experience with the following languages: Spark or bash will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge on other NoSQL database like hbase will be an added advantage.
• Excellent problem solving, analytical and debugging skills
