Job Title: Backend Developer (Node.js, MongoDB, AWS, Stock Market Real-Time API, WebSockets)

Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Backend Developer with expertise in Node.js, MongoDB, AWS, stock market real-time API integration, and WebSockets to join our team in developing a virtual trading app. As a Backend Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the server-side components and integrations necessary to support the app’s functionality. Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain server-side APIs and services using Node.js.
• Integrate with MongoDB or similar databases to handle data storage and retrieval.
• Implement real-time stock market data updates by integrating with relevant APIs and WebSockets.
• Collaborate with the frontend development team to define and implement backend interfaces and endpoints.
• Ensure optimal performance and scalability of the backend systems.
• Implement security measures and authentication mechanisms to protect sensitive user data.
• Write efficient, reusable, and maintainable code following best practices and coding standards.
• Conduct thorough testing of backend components to ensure reliability and data integrity.
• Monitor and optimize server performance to deliver fast and responsive services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including frontend developers, designers, and product managers, to deliver high-quality software.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in Node.js and experience developing server-side applications.
• Expertise in working with MongoDB or similar NoSQL databases.
• Experience integrating with real-time APIs for stock market data updates.
• Familiarity with WebSockets and event-driven architectures.
• Knowledge of AWS services, including EC2, S3, Lambda, and API Gateway.
• Understanding of RESTful API design principles and best practices.
• Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug and troubleshoot backend issues.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate technical concepts effectively.

Preferred:

• Familiarity with financial markets and trading platforms.
• Experience with message queues and asynchronous processing (e.g., RabbitMQ, Redis).
• Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
