Join our team at EquiLend Spire, a leader in the Securities Lending industry. Our Pune office, a hub of about 25 professionals across various disciplines, collaborates closely with our Chandigarh and global offices to create best-in-class products and services.

In this pivotal role, you'll have the opportunity to step up and shine as a leader. Your mission will be to blend your strong technical skills with superior leadership and supervisory abilities to foster an innovative, driven office environment. You will be the primary development lead, guiding and mentoring a team of junior software engineers, while also contributing to the strategic success of the product.

Role Responsibilities
• Direct and mentor a team of junior software engineers to ensure their professional growth while aligning their efforts with our strategic goals.
• Oversee software development projects with an emphasis on quality, efficiency, and timely execution.
• Foster a positive and collaborative culture within the Pune office, setting standards for excellence and teamwork.
• Manage the allocation of tasks and resources effectively to optimise team productivity and project outcomes.
• Provide expert guidance on system design and development, utilising technologies like RestAPI’s, microservices, PostgreSQL/Oracle, and Java.
• Identify and implement improvements in team processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Identify, nurture, and support emerging technical talent within the team, promoting continuous learning and innovation.

Required Skills
• 7+ years commercial experience with a background in software enginering
• At least 2+ years direct leadership experience leading and mentoring software development teams, with a strong ability to foster growth and collaboration among junior engineers.
• Outstanding communication skills, capable of fostering a positive and collaborative work environment and aligning team efforts with strategic objectives.
• Demonstrated expertise in overseeing complex software projects, ensuring excellence in quality, efficiency, and delivery.
• Strong proficiency with technologies such as Java, RestAPI’s, Microservices, PostgreSQL/Oracle.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with a track record of implementing process improvements to enhance team efficiency and effectiveness.
• Ability to be a standard setter across an office ensuring that you can influence and bring others along on a journey
• Ability to effectively allocate resources and manage tasks to optimise team productivity and meet project goals.

Role Location Benefits
